It’s almost Arizona Beer Week, which is a mind-boggling series of events around the whole state. This Saturday is the Strong Beer Festival with over 75, well, really strong beers! Every year, though, there’s one ABW event in particular we never miss: a food truck parks right outside HB Hanratty’s dive bar on Camelback and there’s a progressive do-it-yourself kinda beer dinner. It’s not only a blast, it’s a steal at $25 a head.

This year, it’s Old Dixie’s food truck – which means a bunch of Southern fried goodness will be paired up some great Arizona brews. It takes place on Tuesday, February 19th, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Here’s how it works: you check in and get a set of tickets that’ll lead you through three courses with appropriate pairings – going outside for your food and to bar for your brews. Then, eat wherever you like. Do course one at the bar, course two on the patio, then settle in at a pool table. The menu currently reads: Boudin Balls (crispy fried house made sausage with rice topped with Kiltlifter beer mustard), Chorizo Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and Buttermilk Biscuits with jam. On the beer side, you’ll get four four-ounce samples of Sleepy Dog, Sun Up, and San Tan beers. Then pick your favorite and enjoy a full pint to close.

You’ve gotta RSVP because this event does sell out. Do so by simply messaging them at facebook.com/hbhanrattys. Payment’s made night of the event. See ya there.
